our story

becoming a pioneering conservation reserve

from one small seed

to a world renowned wildlife reserve

Dating back almost two centuries where the journey towards conservation began on a piece of land in the wild part of the Eastern Cape, South African, originally used for agriculture, the seed for Induli was planted. Fast forward to the creation of the Amakhala Game Reserve the land began to reclaim its original status, ceasing all prior domestication and allowing for the return of the natural biodiversity and the encouragement and protection of vulnerable species for the sole purpose of conservation. A family affair, creating exceptional experiences for guests runs deep in our veins. Induli Lodge, as the latest addition to Amakhala aims to do just that – using the power of conservation for good – with a firm purpose anchored in the commitment in the custodian role we all play in conservation.

hope for the wilderness

We feel a deep connection to the wilderness around us, and as a result a responsibility to act as a force for social good. We are guided by our principles of balance – a need to leave the earth in a better state, to tread lightly and minimize impact on our environment, but to make a heavy impact in our efforts in conservation. These principles guide Induli to in aspire to elevate the safari experience for guests while benefiting the land and community in which we operate.
