your stay at induli
immerse yourself in nature
experience serenity
answer the call to the wild
Our aim is for guests to feel a sense of calm and serenity, a unique opportunity to unplug from the usual pace of life and sync with rhythms of nature. Guests are treated to two game drives a day. The morning drive with your field guide leaves at first light and you will watch the sunrise, and the bush come to life at the start of the day.
There is something special about experiencing mother nature wake up, birds find their voice, animals shake the morning dew off their coats and tracks from the previously night, telling a story about the hours that passed in the dark. You will observe, learn and be delighted with the brilliance of a safari. The second drive leaves in the afternoon and is accompanied by a sundowner before the moon rises and if the stars align, a glimpse of nocturnal species such as; brown hyena, a porcupine shuffling back to its den or a lion on the prowl may be seen enroute back to the lodge.

the conservation
& community
development levy*
The Conservation and Community Development Levy funds the anti-poaching efforts and a dedicated rhino monitoring program to preserve and protect the rhinos of Amakhala Game Reserve. In addition, a percentage of the levy will be administered by the Amakhala Foundation to continue with and expand our award-winning Conservation Education Programs.
In 2017, over 2000 school children from local communities visited the Amakhala Conservation Centre to learn about wildlife conservation and sustainability for the next generation of conservationists. Your stay plays a vital role in the preservation of the natural environment and is a most appreciated contribution, both now and in the future.

what to pack
for your adventure
of a lifetime
The Eastern Cape, South Africa is special in every season. The warmest summer months (December to February), require lightweight, breathable clothing, a wide-brimmed hat and sunscreen. Warmer clothing is still encouraged for game drives. For winter (June to August), pack warm layers, including a jacket, gloves, and a beanie for crisp mornings and evenings. Year-round essentials include comfortable walking shoes, binoculars, and your camera – you’re going to want to capture these moments. Do pack your swimsuit to enjoy a dip in the pool at the lodge. Induli Lodge is located in the malaria-free Eastern Cape of South Africa.
